Information for Applicants

Aura Centre for Doctoral Training

Fully-funded PhD scholarships
in offshore wind energy and the environment.

Work with industry, drive innovation,
develop a sustainable future

If you choose to carry out your postgraduate studies with us, you will become part of a vibrant, forward-thinking research community.

Our Core Scholarships comprise funding for first-year PG-Dip training, during which students develop their research proposal. Followed by three years full time PhD research at one of the partner institutions. We also work closely with key offshore wind sector organisations to develop funded Industry Partner Scholarships. Students on this pathway take their PG-Dip year with the rest of the cohort before embarking on a 3-year PhD at a specified institution, supported by their Industry sponsor.
